Company History

Watts Process Machinery, Originally Watts Specialties, began in 1976. Don Watts, a pioneer of the pipe cutting equipment industry, created the W-60 pipe coupon cutter, cam-arm pipe saddle/miter cutter, weld testing machines and grinding jigs. The W-60 coupon cutter, grinding jigs and the cam-arm saddle/miter cutter quickly became well known and used in the sprinkler system industry, schools and shops across the country.

In 2001, Don sold Watts Specialties to Dave Collins, who developed the computerized pipe cutter along with the manual pipe cutters Watts is well known for. In 2017, Dave Collins and Katie Collins opened a new company called Watts Process Machinery. This company includes all of the smaller manual cutters Watts Specialties began with over 40 years ago. With the same precision, design, and customer service, these machines will continue to be a premium addition to shops in the pipe cutting industry.
